"เทียนเมตตาหลวง" ถือเป็นวิชาเทียนของล้านนาที่ขึ้นชื่อลือชาในด้านเมตตามหานิยม คนฮักหุมยินดีชมชอบมานานนม มีพุทธคุณสมนาม "เมตตาหลวง" อันมีความหมายว่า "ความรักความเมตตาที่ยิ่งใหญ่หามีประมาณไม่" ยันต์เทียนของเทียนชนิดนี้จึงมีขนาดใหญ่และอุดมไปด้วยเลขยันต์อักขระมากมายตามไปด้วย เมื่อนำมาฝั้นทำเป็นเทียนจะมีขนาดถึง 11 นิ้วเลยทีเดียว ผู้ใดได้จุดบูชาย่อมที่รักแห่งมนุษย์ทั้งหลาย ย่อมเป็นที่ชมชอบแห่งอมนุษย์ทั้งปวง ย่อมเป็นที่ยินดีแห่งเทวดาทั้งมวล

 

ซึ่งความพิเศษของเทียนเมตตาหลวงนี้ยังสามารถนำไปใช้ได้อีกทาง แต่ครูอาจารย์โบราณส่วนมากมักสงวนเคล็ดนี้ไว้เพื่อบอกกล่าวเฉพาะบุคคลไป เพราะอาจจะเข้าข่าย "วิชาทำเสน่ห์" กล่าวคือเทียนชนิดนี้ สามารถใช้จุดเพื่อหวังผลในทาง "ความสัมพันธ์เชิงคู่รัก" ได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพอีกด้วย  ตามคำโบราณที่ว่า “ไม่ได้ด้วยเล่ห์ ก็เอาด้วยกล ไม่ได้ด้วยมนต์ ก็เอาด้วยคาถา”

วิธีและเคล็ดการจุดเทียนเมตตาหลวง:

1. หากต้องการเสริมทางด้านเมตตามหานิยมให้แก่ตนเอง

= ให้ให้เขียนชื่อ นามสกุล วันเดือนปีเกิดของตนเองที่ "ปลายเทียน" ส่วนเวลาที่จุดนั้น จะจุดเวลาไหนก็ได้ ถ้าให้ดีคือจุดช่วงเวลาพระอาทิตย์กำลังขึ้น เป็นฤกษ์ยามแห่งแสงเงินแสงทอง แต่ครูบาฐากูรท่านกำชับมาว่า "ห้ามจุดในช่วงเวลาพระอาทิตย์กำลังตกดิน" คือช่วงเวลาประมาณ 18.00-19.00 น.

 

2. หากต้องการใช้ในทางความสัมพันธ์เชิงคู่รัก

= ให้ให้เขียนชื่อ นามสกุล วันเดือนปีเกิดของตนเองที่ "ปลายเทียน" และเขียนชื่อ นามสกุล วันเดือนปีเกิดของบุคคลที่เราต้องการให้เขามีความรักใคร่เสน่หาในตัวเราเป็นพิเศษที่ "โคนเทียน" (ปล.หากไม่ทราบชื่อ นามสกุล วันเดือนปีเกิดของบุคคลผู้นั้น สามารถใช้รูปถ่ายแทนได้) ส่วนเวลาที่จุดนั้น จะจุดเวลาไหนก็ได้ ถ้าให้ดีคือจุดช่วงเวลาพระอาทิตย์กำลังขึ้น เป็นฤกษ์ยามแห่งแสงเงินแสงทอง แต่ครูบาฐากูรท่านกำชับมาว่า "ห้ามจุดในช่วงเวลาพระอาทิตย์กำลังตกดิน" คือช่วงเวลาประมาณ 18.00-19.00 น.

 

3. หากต้องการให้อานุภาพของเทียนส่งผลสูงสุด 

= ช่วงแรกควรจุดเทียนชนิดนี้ให้ครบ 3 เล่ม ภายใน 1 เดือน หลังจากนั้นสามารถจุดได้ตามวาระโอกาสต่างๆตามความเหมาะสม

 

"ครูบาฐากูร วัดแม่แพะ" ถือเป็นครูบาอาจารย์อีกท่านหนึ่งที่เรียกได้ว่าเป็นผู้เชี่ยวชาญในศาสตร์แห่งเทียนล้านนาอย่างแท้จริง ท่านได้ยึดถือวิธีการทำเทียนต่างๆตามตำรับปั๊ปสาเก่าที่ท่านได้รับมอบและร่ำเรียนมาจากครูบาอาจารย์ของท่านไว้ได้อย่างเคร่งครัด จึงทำให้เทียนของท่านมีประสบการณ์จากผู้บูชามากมาย เฉกเช่นเดียวกับที่รุ่นปู่ย่าตายายได้พบเจอมาและเล่าขานกันไว้

 

โดยการทำเทียนของท่าน จะเริ่มจากการนำกระดาษสา มาลงด้วยยันต์ชนิดต่างๆ จนสำเร็จเป็น "ยันต์เทียน" ซึ่งยันต์แต่ละชนิดก็จะมีพุทธคุณต่างๆกันไป แล้วแต่ยันต์ที่ท่านเลือกนำมาใช้ หลังจากนั้นครูบาฐากูรจะนำยันต์เทียนมาห่อหุ้ม"เชือกฝ้ายดิบ" เพื่อทำเป็นไส้เทียน แล้วจึงนำ "ขี้ผึ้งแท้" มาฟั่นขึ้นเป็นเทียน ก่อนนำไปอธิษฐานจิตปลุกเสกตามฤกษ์ยามมงคล

 

ครูบาฐากูรท่านยึดถือการทำเทียนตามขนบจารีตประเพณีโบราณดั้งเดิมเช่นนี้ ลงมือทำด้วยมือท่านเองทีละเล่มทุกขั้นตอน แม้จะมีกรรมวิธีการทำที่พิถีพิถันและใช้เวลานานกว่าการทำเทียนทั่วๆไป ก็เนื่องด้วยว่าท่านมีเจตจำนงค์ต้องการให้อานุภาพของเทียนส่งผลสูงสุดแก่ผู้ที่นำไปจุดบูชา มุ่งหวังว่าผู้ศรัทธาจะได้รับสิ่งดีๆและประสบการณ์อันน่าประทับใจเฉกเช่นเดียวกับที่ครูอาจารย์รุ่นก่อนๆท่านว่าไว้ทุกประการนั่นเอง

 

 

ซึ่งในทางเหนือนั้นจะถือว่าวิชาเทียนเป็นสิ่งที่มีความสำคัญมาก จะสังเกตุเห็นได้จากวิถีชิวิตของคนภาคเหนือที่ในวันขึ้นปีใหม่, วันสงกรานต์, วันเข้าพรรษา, วันออกพรรษาและวันมงคลต่างๆ ผู้ที่มีความเชื่อในความศักดิ์สิทธิ์ของวิชาเทียน จะบูชาเทียนจากเกจิอาจารย์หรือสย่าผู้มีความรู้ มาจุดเพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคลแก่ตนเองและคนในครอบครัว เช่นพ่อแม่มักจะบูชาเทียนมาจุดให้ลูกเวลาที่ลูกอยู่ห่างไกลบ้านเพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคลแก่ลูกหลานก็มี ถือว่าเป็นอีกหนี่งวิชาโบราณที่ยังคงความเข้มขลังศักดิ์สิทธิ์ เพื่อช่วยเหลือผู้มีความทุข์ให้ได้มีแสงส่องสว่างนำทางชีวิตต่อไป

"Grand Love Candle" is considered to be a magic candle of Lanna that is famous from its love power for a long time. It has powerful love power as its name "Grand Love (Metta Luang)" which means "Great love and kindness that is incomparable." Therefore, the candle talisman (Yant Tien) of this type of candle is also grand with countless hand-written magic Yantra.
